Project assessment

I decided to assess my week 2 screen casting project. The reason I decided to assess this project was because I think I will get the most use out of this tool in my classroom. I really want to use the screen casting tool on my tablet to work out complicated problems for my students so they can go back and look at how they were worked out after class if they forgot parts of it from the notes they took.

In my project I made a video on how to navigate the LMS site my district uses to help students familiarize themselves with the site. This is helpful for the students if they forget where something is on the site as well as for me because it saves class time and makes it so I do not have to spend much time going over the site.

  1. Nate-I too used screen casting and did not know about it until this class. I have since downloaded it to my school computer and my home one. I put it on my husband's computer and promised to teach him. It is straightforward and easy. Love that it is free!

  2. I definitely agree with you on it being a takeaway from this class. It is one of many, but I will probably be using this one the most! It is so easy to use.

  4. Nate, I think the rubric you chose to assess this assignment/product is a great fit. All the categories relate to the screencast you created. In addition, you have -as you put it "a big takeaway" - something you are actually going to use in your class. Meaningful learning and meaningful tasks - :)
